EXPERTS

The top three experts this week all had 4 wins.

1st Charles Reinke secured the top spot going undefeated for the evening and accumulating a +208 spread and Bingo King honors with 9 bingoes in 4 games.

2nd Lynda Finn played 5 games and lost only one close one to Charles.  She managed an impressive +371 spread and played 7 bingoes including word of the week RENITENT.  Lynda also had a squeaker game with Thomas securing a one point victory.

3rd Mark Kenas also played 5 games, ending 4/1 +280 .  His one loss was to Mary Becker.  Mark played his usual impressive 6 bingoes.

INTERMEDIATES

1st Barbara Besadny played down to even out the Intermediate level and cleaned house winning 3 of her 5 games.

2nd Sharlie Miura was close on her heels winning 2 of her 3 games.

3rd Sue Goldstein won 2 of her 4 games.

Seventeen players gathered at Attic Angels on a lovely early Spring evening but left in a cold rain storm - ah Wisconsin.  Next week we will meet at Barnes and Noble.  Prize word for March 14 will be KNURL (n) a small projecting knob or ridge.

Experts

Six people had 3 and 1 records in Experts, the leader decided by the winning spread.  Thomas Reinke was the big winner with a +321 and 8 bingoes.  His only loss was to Andy who also had a 3/1 evening but with a +128 spread.

Lynda Finn came in second with a +278 and was Bingo Queen with 10 bingoes. Her only loss was in a nail-biter with Mark Kenas.

Charles Reinke came in third +182 with 7 bingoes.  His only loss was to Lynda who managed 4 bingoes in that game.

INTERMEDIATE

Betty Hasselkus was the top winner in Intermediate also winning 3 and losing only one with +273.

Sue Goldstein came in second also winning 3 and only losing 1 with +61.

Matt Rust placed third winning two and losing two -77.

Experts

Michael David sweeps the experts with an impressive 717 cume. Michael averaged an impressive 496 points per game, beating his opponents by an average of 179 points per game. His biggest game was his 525-250 trouncing of Andy Bohnsack. His closest game was his opening nailbiter with Shayla 465-445. Michael also takes bingo king honors with 10 in 4 games, including RAWHIDES, which was chosen as word of the week by his adorable dog, Professor Fluff.

Mark Kenas takes second with a 3-1 outing. His only loss was to Susan Vergeront who was undeafed in the first three rounds before she had to face Michael. Mark played the 9 letter word DISTANCES in his win over Thomas Reinke, and had 4 bingos in his game with Leslie Seltzer, where he won 578 to 216. 

Thomas Reinke comes in third with 3 wins and one loss as well.  Thomas had 9 bingos including the fish OLDWIFE. His only loss was against Mark Kenas in round 1 when he came up only 10 points short of Mark.

Intermediates

Langdon Martin comes in first, going 3-1 with his only loss being to the expert Andy Bohnsack in round 1. Langdon bingoed against Andy with REORDERS and has two other bingos over the course of the night.

Sue Goldstein finises second with a 2-1 showing, her only loss being to Langdon. We all breathed easier when her EXHALING bingo went down.

June Scott claims third with a 2-1 finish. She had a decisive win over Sharlie Miura by the score 361-249.

Word of the Week

Not that i'm bi-ased or anything but Leslie Seltzer takes word of the week honors with BIFACES. BIFACE is a stone tool having a cutting edge
