LYNDA FINN JEMMIES BACKDOOR TO TOP EXPERTS

(RARITY factor 1 - NO REINKE'S IN TOP THREE!)

1st - Despite having an overall minus cume, Lynda Finn expertly stitched her way to a winning 4-1 -7 tally. Her big loss came at the all too familiar hands of Andy Bohnsack in a one-sided 347-613 game, This was Andy's second 600 game in recent weeks. Lynda even accounted for muscle in her own game there with her bingos of ITERANCE and RODEOING, despite being tossed off that "horse" by Andy's heavier scoring onslaught.

2nd - Andy Bohnsack's game was afire in his first three encounters, averaging an eye-popping 547 per game before "Hurricane Sandy Lauder" swept in to quench Andy's flames, in their closing game, for Andy a 291-475 loss. That's Andy's sixth consecutive loss to Richard in club games this year. Andy still finished solidly in 2nd at 3-1 +538! And, Andy moves into 2nd place in the club stats, chasing Thomas Reinke as the duo averge scores of 440 per game...only Michael David joins them in the "+425 averages club"

3rd - Richard Lauder ended at 3rd with a 3-1 +360, losing his first game 438-473 as Thomas Reinke went on a food tear, playing both OREGANOS to one triple word score, and the excellent find of the 9 letter HABANEROS into the same "S" of his first play as another triple word play. That "O" he hungrily hooked "HABANER' into came from Thoma's earlier play of MAYO to complete his tasty win. 

HARWINDER DOWD TOPS FIELD OF THREE INTERMEDIATES

1st - Harwinder had a beautiful album of wedding pictures to share with us before getting down to business with an outstanding 409-405 win versus expert barb Besadny. Harwinder ended the night at 2-1 +5 to take top spot in a field of only three intermediates.

2nd - Sue Goldstein, nursing a freshly injured hand, was thrown three times into the expert's wolf pack where she braved out the onslaughts, but the expert wolves won all three. The result was a 1-3 night, but still enough to garner 2nd place in her division, as she won her game with June Scott 380-272 with her bingo of JAILERS.

3rd- June Scott finished 3rd of the 3 Intermediates to round out Halloween's night where she saw mostly "tricks" on her board's squares.

STEAMROLLER NAMED "ANDY" PANCAKES ALL COMERS

1st- Andy Bohnsack was unstoppable...just ask Helen Flores who opened with a bingo and closed her book there 308-498 again Andy. He finished at 4-0 +540, three of his games at 520,498 and 475 made 3/4's of the nights top single scores.

2nd - Renato Umali finally showed up with his real "A" game on, going 3-1 +178 for 2nd position in the nights field of 8 souls.  Renato also briefly had Andy on the ropes in their cliff hanging game (Andy eventually won 449-426) but Renato missed seeing Andy's "hidden" QI hook onto DEF (to make DEFI) nearing the game's final plays. Renato's overall good night though moved him up the chart to the middle of the club's expert players.

3rd- Richard Lauder's 2-2 -14 landed him in 3rd as he struggled with too many unbalanced racks way too often...his defensive play making did keep his opponents from a worse route as he held them to a 373 per game average, 2nd to Andy's more thorough rout. Andy averaging 486 in four games to his opponent's gasping 351 average score.

4th - Gail Salm's 2-2 -35 just edged out Shayla Dunn's 2-2 also -35 as Gail recorded a higher single game 457-352 game with Helen Flores. Gail managed three bingoes in that closing game, HEADIER, FLITTER and REMAINS.

Bingo KIng was Renato Umail with 10...Renanto's included the word of the night VERMUTHS. He also played the plausible phony, SNAGGLES, which would be his first phony of the year. Virgins remaining in the regular experts without a phony inlude four women, Mary Becker, Helen Flores, Susan vergeront, Gail Salm and this exclusive club's sole male member, club Champion (so far) Charles Reinke.

CHARLES REINKE EMERGES ATOP EXPERTS ONCE AGAIN

1ST - In a fine UPSCALE move, Expert Charles Reinke's 4-0 +385 moved him to Numero Uno in the club standings. Cleverly, he bingoed out in his final game with CUTESIER as he turned back Shayla Dunn 479-404. Shayla has been blowing the doors off of most her opponents this year with her 416 per game average, a level achieved in part as she slips in a few choice phoneys, such as her "OCTORITE" play this week.

2nd - Thomas Reinke succumbed only to Shayla in a 6 point setback, at 331 to her 337 score, before righting his ship to a 3-1 +192 final tally. That included Thomas's go out bingo of BUNKOED for 473 against Michael David's impressive 469 score. Losing with a 469 put Michael in 5th place on the All-Time Highest Losing Scores chart, as he unexpectedly came face to face with a suddenly truer meaning of BUNKOED! : 0

3RD - Shayla Dunn's likewise solid 3-1 +123 earned 3rd place position as she continued her fine play...she managed a split against the Reinke's, dropping Game 4 404-479 to Charles and his bingo barrage of RAINOUT, ADROITER, NARGILES and for good final measure, CUTESIER through an exposed S tile.

JUNE SCOTT PERSEVERES @2-2 FOR A TOP'S FINISH

1st - Intermediate June Scott shot out of the starting gate with 2 straight wins with scores of 342 and 387 before dropping her last two games including a narrow three point loss to Barb Besadny (338-341) but still finished with a 2-2 +92 night.

2nd - Sue Goldstein's 2-2 -69 took home the 2nd place claims...Sue closed with a 367-285 game including TACKIER as June Scott graciously stayed and played their fourth game, keeping the club matchups at One-Vs.-One for the only such pairing of the night.

3rd - Sharlie Miiura used the bingo play of DRAFTING to give her the edge vs. Harwinder Dowd 347-323 as She rolled to a 1-1 3rd place final position.
