LYNDA FINN UNSCATHED WITH 4-0 +452 NIGHT

1st - Lynda Finn's Scrabble Christmas present arrived early, as she rocketed her season's average back above the perilous 400 level with games of 343-493-450-478 (a 441 average) as she handily won all her games.  It was the club's lowest west side attendance this year. Six brave (?) souls ventured out before the big snowstorm, and all enjoyed Sue Goldstein's wonderful cookies.  No good deed goes unpunished, so Sue had the dubious task of playing against expert's all night long...an 0-4 -378 experience.

2nd - Barb Besadny's 3-1 -38 won her second place honours. Her big game was a three bingo (REHIRES, SUPPLIER, COMPANY) 422-384 shoot out with Mary Becker.  She later snuck out a six point win against Mary, 358-352 in the night's final game.

3rd - Richard Lauder finished with a 2-2 +57 to just edge out Helen Flores's 2-2 -144 for the final spot in the field of six players. Richard managed a three bingo game of his own, with DARLING, SMELTED and POUTINES (defined as a dish of french fries, cheese curds and a topping of gravy....sounds awful to Richard) played against Intermediate Sue Goldstein.

Thanks again to Sue Goldstein for the wonderful and varied selection of Christmas cookies...any uneaten ones at night's end made it safely home with the departing players.

Next week (December 26th) the club will meet at the Church.

1st - Peter Schmiedicke scored 7 bingoes over 4 games to finish at 3-1, topping the three experts who 2 vs. 1'ed their whole night at Hy-Vee.

2nd - Richard Lauder's 2-2 took 2nd in the triadic matches.

3rd - Renato Umali wasn't exactly LOAFING as he bingoed out with that play in his final game to defeat Richard 421-340 to salvage a1-3 night.

Experts:

Andy was tonight's undefeated big winner. He broke Charles's 12 game winning streak with a decicive victory and also defeated Mary, Peter and Lynda in his undefeated night. He played 10 bingos in his 4 games, and all were great but one was TERRIFIC!

Charles remained almost unstoppable at 3-1. With two rare phonies in the list, he had 8 bingos in 4 games including the awesome REDSHIFT

Peter finished 3-2, good enough for third place. He was also bingo king with 10 in 5 games including the beautiful HENLEYS

Intermediates:

Harwinder finished 3-1 in a head to head battle with Sue. Harwinder played the word of the week WHINGED, for a total of 4 beautiful bingos
